  • Pressure is felt at the petrol pumps at this Shell garage as the price per litre increases day by day due to the continuing increases in the price of oil on 7th March 2022 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. With the United States considering a boycott on Russian energy as a response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the price of oil has increased and is fluctuating at approximately $140 dollars a barrel. This surge has been felt at the pumps as average petrol prices increase at about 5p per day and look set to  surge to £1.75 per litre, causing yet more difficulty with the cost of living crisis in the UK.
