China - Maijieping - Abandoned Village
A "new village" being built on the rural outskirts of Dengfeng, Henan Province, China on 23 October, 2013. Once the home to some 200 people, the village of Maijieping has seen its numbers dwindled to only four permanent residents as most have moved to more convenient locations with access to jobs, schools, and hospitals.
