Domestic Tourism In London

With many people and families staying in the UK for their Summer break during the school holidays, a large number of domestic tourists, who may normally have been travelling abroad, have decended on the capital to see the sights, as seen here on Westminster Bridge on 11th August 2021 in London, United Kingdom. Following the Coronavirus / Covid-19 health scare of the last two years, and with some travel restrictions still in place, more people have chosen a staycation which is a holiday spent in ones home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.
