Canary Wharf is an area located near the Isle of Dogs in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and is defined by the Greater London Authority as being part of Londons central business district. Along with the City of London, it constitutes one of the main financial centres in the United Kingdom and the world, containing many high-rise buildings. In recent years, and with work practices changing from office based to hybrid and remote working has resulted in office occupancy being lower. In response the area has been pushing forward with residential property construction on a grand scale and ensuring that services, entertainment and lifestyle options are catered for as more people choose the area to live in.
