Climate change activists from Extinction Rebellion standing in solidarity with the world wide protest, Black Lives Matter following the death of George Floyd in the USA in their weekly protest called No Going Back which is usually linked to climate change and has now grown to become a national event, on Sunday at 10.00am on the 7th June 2020 in St Ives, United Kingdom. Black Lives Matter is an international human rights movement, originating from within the African-American community which campaigns against violence and systemic racism towards black people. Around 40 members of the St Ives community decided to protest by standing for an hour holding placards with slogans such as ‘Black Lives Matter’ and ‘I can’t breathe’. Here they are standing at the top of the town outside the famous chapel.
