Climate change activists from the group ‘No Going Back – another world is possible’, taking part in a social distancing protest on 4th May 2020 in St Ives, Cornwall, United Kingdom. This is the first of it’s kind and the group are hoping that the idea will spread across the UK. The idea is that every Sunday at 10.00am people will protest in this way. They are all members of Extinction Rebellion who have helped disseminate the idea across the XR groups across the UK. Because of Covid 19 there has been very little climate change protest and the group think this is a way to protest. These protests are highlighting that the government is not doing enough to avoid catastrophic climate change and to demand the government take radical action to save the planet.
