Local response to Coronavirus is felt on a street by street level as people put up rainbow paintings in the windows of their businesses on 6th April 2020 in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. Rainbows, mostly drawn by children, have been appearing in windows right across the UK as people are locked in their homes during the coronavirus outbreak, and want to give out a positive message, in particular to NHS staff and other key workers. Coronavirus or Covid-19 is a new respiratory illness that has not previously been seen in humans. While much or Europe has been placed into lockdown, the UK government has announced more stringent rules as part of their long term strategy, and in particular social distancing.
