Final day of the Big One organised by Extinction Rebellion on the 24th of April 2023, London, United Kingdom. The final day included the March to End Fossil Fuels and a final assembly picketing Parliament. The Big One was a peaceful gathering of various groups in Westminster, to discuss how best to avert a future climate catastrophe and up to 50.000 people turned out over the 4 days. The Big One had demanded that the government end all new fossil fuels extractions and set up a people’s assembly to decide how best to implement the changes needed. The Government did not agree to these two demands the various groups woved scaling up the actions needed to make the Government listen and take action. Up to 200 hundred organisations took part in the 4 days event.
