Windrush Day Protest London

Windrush campaigners arrive in Parliament Square after marching from the Home Office to deliver a letter to the House of Commons on 23rd June 2021 in London, United Kingdom. The campaigners are calling for a new independent body, and not the Home Office, to administer the scheme intended by the government to compensate them for the violation of their rights. Many legal residents who came to the UK from the Caribbean lost their homes, jobs and other rights after having been targeted by the Home Office.
