Disturbance At Heathrow Immigration Removal Centre Following Power Outage Harmondsworth

Metropolitan Police Territorial Support Group vehicles arrive at Heathrow Immigration Removal Centre to attend to a disturbance within the Harmondsworth wing which followed a substantial power outage on 5 November 2022 in Harmondsworth, United Kingdom. According to reports, a group of detainees left their rooms in the early hours of the morning and entered a courtyard armed with weaponry. No one was hurt during the disturbance at the detention centre which is managed by Mitie. Police, including riot police, fire and prison services attended. Some detainees have been relocated.
