Banana Plantation

A detail of banana crops growing abundantly in the fertile soils of southern Madeira, on 22nd April 2024, in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. Bananas are picked for export when still green in colour but due to its small size, the Madeira banana is only exported to mainland Portugal and doesnt correspond to the EU criteria for exporting to other countries.
