The annual Huttari harvest celebrations are the main event of the year of the locals of Madikeri and Coorg. Coorg or Kadagu is the largest coffee growing region of India, in the state of Karnataka, the inhabitants - the Kodavas have been cultivating crops such as coffee, black pepper and cardamon for many generations.
