Kirsty Hogben, a local sea swimming coach joined other campaigners on the 30th of October 2022 at Mermaid beach demanding action on sewage pollution on the beaches in Folkestone, United Kingdom. Southern water have been regularly dumping raw sewage into the sea where people swim, locals attended a demo organised by the Folkestone & Hythe Labour Party to demand ‘No more swimming in sewage’.
