Birmingham Redevelopment Cityscape

View looking across graffiti covered hoardings surrounding disused waste ground, awaiting redevelopment, in the industrial area of Deritend, which lies less than half a mile from the city centre on 17th April 2024 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Birmingham is still very much an industrial city both current and past, with many of these areas incredibly close to the city centre. Despite the ongoing Big City Plan, a large redevelopment scheme that will regenerate the old industrial buildings into apartments, retail premises, offices and arts facilities, there is still a great deal of industrial activity in the area.
