The GMB trade union, supported by TUC, holds a rally outside Amazon HQ in support of Amazon workers in Coventry on the 8th of July 2024, London, United Kingdom. Today about 3,000 workers in the Amazon Coventry warehouse hub are starting to vote on whether to be represented by the GMB trade union. If the staff vote to support GMB recognition, the GMB will be given the right to represent them in negotiations with Amazon over pay and working conditions and it will be the first instance of the American company Amazon having to officially recognise a trade union in the UK.
