Following the fire at the Norris Waste Recycling Facility on Shakespeare Road in Lambeth SE24, London fire fighters continue to dowse smoke, on 11th September 2001, in south London, England. The facility is owned by Norris Waste Management is a waste transfer facility where fire broke out at 2.00am during the heatwave on Thursday 7th September. It has yet to be established what materials caused dense smoke damage forcing residents over a wide are of Herne Hill and Brixton to close their windows.
